The start of a trend?

Although i'm sure this blog post will jinx us completely, i'm going to write it anyway!

For the past 5 nights, Charlotte has gone 5+ hours between her last "mommy is awake" feeding and her first "let's wake mommy up" feeding. I say 5+ because it has ranged from 5 hours a few nights ago to 7.5 hours last night! Notice how I described the feedings not by their time though - we don't really have any consistency as far as when she eats. We have worked our way towards 3+ hours between feedings during the day, but they never seem to be at the same times from day to day. Last night she ate at 10pm then again at 5:45 this morning, the previous nights she last ate at 8:45, 9:37 and 9:00 and then again somewhere between 2:30 and 4:30am. All the books say she is still too young to have a set schedule, so i'm guessing it is still ok to be a bit unpredictable. The nights are definately getter better, and that makes for a happier Mommy during the day!

In other news, we think that our smiles will soon turn into full on laughter. Nana reported that while Mommy was out shopping yesterday, Charlotte did "everything but laugh." She is definately enjoying playtime more, and greets us in the morning with the biggest smiles. What a great way to start the day - even if it is early!

Tummy Time

At Charlotte's 2 month appointment (where she weighed in at 11 pounds!), the doctor said that we should work on tummy time "as much as possible when she is awake and alert." So, we have been doing just that, and Charlotte seems to be getting stronger by the day.

Not too thrilled at the beginning...

Trying to turn...

Almost there...

Let's Get it Started, Again

Ok,so i'm going to try and re-start this blog and keep it current. I may not be able to do as good a job as Mr. Ethan's Mom, but I will do my best.

Our little Charlotte is 2 1/2 months old now, growing and changing every day. Her latest accomplishment - smiling!

We are also proud of her ability to do "The People's Eyebrow"

Her expressions are priceless. This is my current favorite. What do you think the caption would be under this one?
