It's a Boy!

Ok...don't get the wrong idea! You'll understand the title of this post soon enough.

On Friday, Charlotte and I went to the last MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting for the year. Since it was the holiday meeting, I dressed her in nice red leggings and a cute Christmas sweater. Of course she had a onesie underneath so her belly wouldn't show or get cold! Here she is looking cute, and me looking tired or drunk or some combination:

I dropped Charlotte off at the nursery along with a well stocked diaper bag - diapers, wipes, pacifier, bottle, burp cloths, bibs, and change of clothes (remember this one). Charlotte likes the ladies in the nursery and was smiling when I left for the meeting. Plus, she had her cousin Gabriel in there to "play" with.

We had a nice brunch and fun activities to do at the meeting, but then it was time to go back and pick up the kids and head home. They have a great system that matches you up with your kids (wrist bands, etc.). I showed my band and the woman went back to get Charlotte. As she was walking in she said "she got a little wet so we had to change her clothes." Ok I thought, she'll have the change of clothes that was in her diaper bag on. The woman emerged from around the corner holding a sleeping baby in a light blue sleeper and proceeded to hand "it" over. Oh...it's Charlotte, in a blue sleeper. Interesting. She was sleeping so I didn't want to wake her up to change her, so they said just to wash it and bring it back next meeting. Sarah came in to pick up Gabriel and gave me a puzzled look and I just shrugged my shoulders. Steve was amused when we got home. Here is our little...girl!

I went to clean out the diaper bag. On top I found the red leggings and Christmas sweater with no signs of wetness. Hmm. Underneath was a ziploc bag with a paper bag inside. I opened it up expecting to have a wet onesie. I pulled out the onesie and I would describe it as more than wet. Actually it wasn't wet at all. It was covered in poop! From the looks of it i'm shocked that she didn't have it all over her body and her other clothes, but like I said the sweater and pants survived the incident unharmed. I made the executive decision to just throw the whole thing away. It was just a plain white onesie/undershirt that I didn't feel the need to make an attempt to Spray n' Wash. I just love how the lady said "She got a little wet." I thank them for dealing with the incident in such a carefree way. Just not the most fun to get a poop filled surprise!
