Charlotte's First Easter

Today marked one of the last firsts for Charlotte - first holidays that is - she has a TON of other firsts left to achieve! I realized yesterday that I hadn't really thought too much about her outfit for the day, at least an outfit to wear to church. Sort of late in the game to be finding an Easter dress! I took another look in her closet just to be sure I didn't already have something suitable, and behold...another gift from Madeline (I can't really call these things hand-me-downs, they are practically brand new!). A perfect Easter dress in just the right size! I also looked through Charlotte's shoe basket and found some super cute pink soft shoes that complimented the outfit nicely (we don't really do the whole shoe thing that much, we barely keep our socks on most days). And I also found a little hair bow that matched perfectly!

And to continue the trend of our typical separate daddy with baby and mommy with baby pictures. We really need to get a whole family shot sometime!

We went to church for a really nice service. We were lucky to get a seat in the Sanctuary and not in the "satellite" room (aka Fellowship Hall)...there were TONS of people there! After visiting with Chris, Sarah, Madeline and Gabriel for a few minutes, we headed over to my Mom and Dad's house for an impromptu visit so they could see Charlotte in her super cute outfit! We had a nice lunch and spent some time visiting and playing. Nana and Grandaddy had a special Easter basket for Charlotte, complete with 3 new books and a cookie and Reese's egg that we get to enjoy! Sorry...no pictures of this part of our day since we didn't have our camera!

Charlotte had missed her morning nap because of church, and was fading fast, so we headed home and got her down for a nap, but not before she changed into her casual Easter outfit!

After she woke up we had her look at her Easter basket and presents.

Digging in to her basket from me and Steve

Can we open this please?

Looking at her present from Grandma

Reading the card from Aunt Jacki

Charlotte seemed to enjoy her gifts, but she really liked playing with the tissue paper at the bottom of her basket!

It was a great day!

Go Tar Heels!

It was a great year for the Tar Heels basketball team! Another Final Four and another National Championship. The games were on too late for Miss Charlotte to see them (almost too late for Mommy and Daddy!), but we got her pumped up so she could dream about the win!

The perfect bedtime story...'Twas then night of the National Championship, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for the butterflies in Mommy's stomach!

What?! Deon Thompson's favorite food is macaroni and cheese? Mine too!!

I think Rameses could totally beat up this guy!!

Charlotte doing some more research on the competition

Oh no, Psycho T, Ty and Wayne are leaving? And we're getting twins next year? I don't like this!

Ugh, another tip-off past my bedtime?! That stinks!

Victory will be ours! Go Tar Heels!!

Our Girly Girl

We finally have enough hair to add a little flair to. Well, there isn't THAT much hair, but I was able to attach the bow so it wouldn't instantly fall off! Check out how cute she looks...

This is when Charlotte was imitating Steve blowing up the beach ball. She watched him blow it up, and then put it up to her mouth and puffed air on it. So smart!!

What chu talkin bout?

Crazy face!

Daddy Day

(I was waiting for a guest post by Daddy, but the blog must move forward, so i'm posting for him!)

Saturday I had to travel down to Richmond for a friend's baby shower, so Steve was in charge - ALL DAY! He did a great job, and only had a little bit of help from his Mom who had just gotten back into town after a few months overseas.

Here are a few pictures of the fun that they had together -

Learning all about the seasons with my Baby Einstein learning cards

I love my Hello Kitty rattle - thanks Grandma!

Hmmm, ducklings! Quack Quack

Daddy came up with a new game - "Choo Choo Basket"

It is pretty fun...and now Charlotte is obsessed with empty laundry baskets!

Thanks for taking care of me Daddy! Here is a cheerio for all of your hard work!

Mommy Group Fun

So I have been a bit behind in the blogging department...these mommy group pictures are from a week ago! This particular day was also Jack's 1st birthday! Here are a few shots of our day of fun...

Brayden playing with the favorite toy of the day - the singing stage!

Grayson practicing his standing skills

Our youngest member - Jocelyn - who was able to sleep through all of the craziness.

Jack and Patrick surprised by something

Molly and Landon

Do you think there are enough toys?

"I'm getting tired of this!"

"Ok, I guess I can play some more"

Love this face...and the "ooh" sound that goes along with it! Very cute!!

As always it was a very fun day with all of our friends!
